Polar proudly announces its new management configuration, effective January 2022.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022, Polar is one of the leading suppliers to the offshore industry in Brazil, moving up another notch after its internationalization in 2017. Most recently, it acquired from Eaton all the tooling, machinery, intelectual property and equipment manufacturing rights of Blinda, one of Brazil´s leading Ex “d” industries over 60 years.
BUSINESS UNITS
In order to ensure that each of the three businesses has adequate management and focus, the operations have been divided into Business Units:
- Polar Distribution
- Blinda Industries
- Polar International
Polar Distribution will be managed by Rodrigo Almeida, who has been working in Polar for 23 years. This Business Unit is the main responsible for the Brazilian branches, dedicated to the stock and distribution of the product lines. It is the traditional área of the business, which allows the Polar Components Group to provide a better service to customers.
Polar International, based in London/UK, is the best choice for customers who prefer to handle the import processo n their own, still relying on Polar´s local expertise. Evandro Esteves has been appointed to manage the International Division and to go one step further in increasing the global presence.
The Blinda Industry is recognized for its offering of high quality Ex “d” (Explosion proof) equipment since 1962. Emerson Esteves has been appointed to manage Blinda, with total commitment to maintaning customer preference for this excellent product line. The Crouse Hinds CEAG panels, junction boxes and “Engineered to Order” (ETO) control units are also under his responsibility as part of the Eaton-CAP (Certified Assembly Partner) technology transfer program.
With the implementation of the new business model, the Polar Components Group should remain or become the first choice for hazardous area solutions for customers and Ex experts, benefiting from the synergy between its Business Units as applied by other leading companies.
